If cities are to become engines of national development, then conservation of heritage – both tangible and intangible – must become an integral part of urban renewal and development. Based on the tenets of ‘Placemaking’ – a term for creative redevelopment of multi-use public places, ORF Mumbai has collaborated with one of India’s top architects and town planners, to initiate projects for the revitalisation of Mumbai’s freedom movement heritage.
